Getting Started with Pointy and POS Systems
Pointy works by connecting to your point of sale system and scanner. When you scan an item, we read the manufacturer barcode (UPC/EAN) and match it to the correct information in our database.
Pointy works with with almost any kind of POS equipment, as long as you have a barcode scanner, including in-counter scale/scanners.
You will need either a Pointy box and a wired scanner, or the Pointy app for integration app systems and a smart POS for Pointy to work. If you don’t have a USB barcode scanner and require an adapter, contact support@pointy.com to order one and they will ship it to you free of charge.
