Parade Unit Entry Form

The parade committee reserves the right to accept or decline applications.  A confirmation letter will be sent upon acceptance, no later than June 19, 2017, along with your unit number.  Your entry will nor be considered unless your payment and a copy of your insurance is submitted prior to June 8, 2018.

Thank you for considering participation in Austin's 4th of July Parade!  The parade will be on Wednesday, July 4th at 11:00 a.m.; line-up begins at 9:00 a.m.  Parade Entry Fees can be paid by credit card, check, cash or you may request to be invoiced.  If paying by check, please remit payment to: Austin Chamber, 329 N. Main St., Suite 102, Austin, MN  55912.  You may upload your Proof of Insurance with your application.

A few things to note:

  • Only vehicles that are entered in the parade will be allowed to enter the staging area.  Vehicles dropping off pedestrians that will ride or walk as part of a group should be dropped off at the intersection of 8th Avenue and Main Street.  you will have to make plans to meet those pedestrians in the disbursement area.
  • Do not throw candy from vehicles!  A $100 fine may be imposed and your unit could be removed from the parade.  All parade participants wanting to hand out candy should have someone walking along side the unit for that purpose.  This is a safety issue and will be enforced by Law Enforcement officials.
  • All units are asked to avoid creating gaps in the parade.  Try to maintain a consistent distance between your unit and those ahead and behind you.
  • All units must be self-insured.  Please submit proof of insurance with this application or make arrangements to provide prior to June 8, 2018.
