profile is designed to showcase the community to prospective new residents, businesses and visitors. 
The 36-page magazine, with over 140 photographs, provides a visual tour of the community while narratives offer important insight into the major aspects of our area.  An electronic, e-edition 
is also posted on this website.  Copies are available to all members at no cost.

THE CEDARS OF AUSTIN HAS NEW DIRECTOR
The Cedars is proud to introduce Mary Barajas, Executive Director of the Cedars of Austin.  Mary brings a strong background in business and senior housing with her.  She has worked for family owned businesses and she is passionate about the senior living industry, which makes the family owned and operated Cedars a perfect fit for her! Mary is able to see things not only as a manager, but also as a family member – her father passed away at a community where she was working as a Director at the time.  She is committed to serving seniors through compassion and respect.  She lives and raised her four children in Owatonna.  In her free time, Mary enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, preferably on the pontoon!  


AUSTIN ASPIRES HIRES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
The Austin Aspires Board of Directors is please to announce that they have hired Ms. Jayne Gibson as the Executive Director for Austin Aspires, Inc.  Jayne has served in various capacities in the education community, most recently as Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction for Rochester Public Schools.   She holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership.  Ms. Gibson has also served in Austin as a teacher, Principal, and Director of Educational Services for Austin Public Schools.
